Multi-colours in Greenland

Another stamp in the passport this week, with a trip to Greenland ( population a tiny 57,564), to check out some of the homes there. 

According to some research I found, the traditional colours for houses are a mid green, a dark sky blue, canary yellow, and a burgundy red. The colour-coding dates back to largely pre-literate times, where buildings were coded according to function. For example, utilities (power plant, telegraph, water plant, etc) were all blue. 

Now, the colour is more for decorative purposes.
