Meteora

If you’re going to dedicate your life to solitude, contemplation and general hermit-type behaviour, you may as well do it in a room with a view.

Meteora is a Greek site where corroding rocks have left peaks of stronger minerals towering into the sky above verdant valleys below.

On top of those peaks, the Greeks built monasteries to escape Turkish invaders. -

Six of those monasteries are still active and still really, really high…
